About Anna Warwick Sears

The world is changing rapidly, and our ability to respond depends on strong partnerships and finding new ways of getting things done. For Okanagan water, we focus hard on collaboration and innovation. It is remarkable how much can be accomplished when people work together. With clear, shared goals and a willingness to take things step by step, we can tackle problems as they arise. When the City of Vernon can sit down with the Town of Osoyoos, and the apple grower talks to the fisheries biologist – differences emerge, but so do creative ideas and common values. My passion is to build these bridges, and support community resilience. The Okanagan Valley is one of the most water-stressed regions of Canada; and it’s essential to find balanced, non-partisan approaches to water policy – based on good science. All the water is connected, and all of society must take part in its protection. To this end, we emphasize education and communication - working with our universities and colleges, mentoring young professionals, engaging the water industry and stakeholders, and reaching out to the public.

Listed skills include Environmental Policy, Sustainability, Environmental Awareness, Water Quality, and 46 others.
