I discovered my passion for writing at a young age, which led me to earn an English degree from the University of Alabama. After graduation, I wasn't sure what path would get me to that copywriting career. Thankfully, I found it (and my love for marketing) after joining the Knoxville Habitat for Humanity team as the Communications Coordinator. Here, I honed my skills in both traditional and digital marketing, eventually being promoted to Communications Manager.Life brought me to Birmingham, AL, and I was able to dig deeper into the marketing industry with my Social Media Specialist position at Uptick Marketing. I was eventually promoted to Social Media Manager, running the social media team and our client's social media accounts. When Uptick Marketing's parent company, Infomedia, approached me with a Content Strategist position, I couldn't say no. I quickly rose to Copy Manager and now head our copy department. My responsibilities include crafting or supervising the copy for every website that goes out the door. I also write all of Infomedia's blogs, social media, newsletters, and more. Every day is a new adventure as we work with a diverse clientele --- from tattoo shops to restaurants, medical practices to transportation companies, municipalities to real estate developers, and everything in between.I love new challenges and am never afraid to step outside my comfort zone. Beyond the keyboard, I'm usually reading a good book, losing a video game, or enjoying some time outdoors.
