In the capacity of Business Manager for WXAV and Xaverrite at Saint Xavier University, the role encompassed the essential management of the financial aspects of both the radio show and the newspaper. Responsibilities included budget oversight, revenue generation, and the creation of sponsorship packages. Notably, the development of compelling sponsorship proposals aimed to articulate the distinctive value these media outlets offered to potential sponsors. This involved a keen understanding of audience demographics and reach, enabling the tailoring of sponsorship opportunities to align with the interests and goals of businesses and organizations.In addition to sponsorship management, strategic financial planning and monitoring of income and expenses ensured the continued and sustainable operation of WXAV and Xaverrite. Collaboration with staff and leadership was integral to the effective allocation of financial resources, thereby supporting content creation and equipment maintenance.The position of Business Manager for WXAV and Xavierite allowed for the honing of financial management skills while contributing significantly to the success and continued viability of these influential media platforms within the Saint Xavier University community.
