This role stretched me the most in the sphere of SRM whilst I moved the relationship with the supply base from a conventional and rudimentary transactional relationship with Pret to one built on shared strategic objectives and trnsparent partnershps.A true Category management regime was introduced for the first time with radical but fundmental changes made to how we tackled Product development, the number of skus available at any one time, with particular emphasis on day part trading to optimise sales during the stores shoulder periods and minimising un necessary waste. Selling prices in core product lines were reduced to reflect its true value and to drive value, yet we were still able achieve total cost of food targets by balancing this out with higher value, and more innovative lines and improved product merchandising. Quality was never compromised and in many cases improved.Achievements include LFL sales target exceeded, Cost of food targets met and the successful opening of stores in new markets. -
