In my last position, I had responsibility for the day-to-day transactions of a University central office (Vice President for Research) with a $16MM annual budget. Included in these transactions were bond, state appropriated E&G, F&A, and internal recharge and general operations funds. Additionally, I analyzed budgets, burn rates, and salaries in each of these fund groups, as well as writing and monitoring repayment agreements on the bond funds and internal loans. I was also responsible for training employees in the research division on using Kuali Financial System (KFS), Kuali Research (KR), Kuali Travel Entertainment and Moving (TEM), Vista Plus, JasperSoft, and various other e-business systems.I used my leadership skills while representing the research division on internal committees and councils. The committees and councils I was involved in were the President’s Sustainability Committee, Administrative Professional Council, Campus Administrative Processes Advisory Council, and the Research and Graduate Affairs Budget Area Review Committee. Additionally, I was formerly responsible for generating the monthly research expenditures report for the University, and for compiling the NSF Higher Education Research and Development Survey each year. To further my interests and expand my skills, I was becoming involved in the international research strategy of the university. Additionally, I was working part-time in the University's One Health Institute, assisting with the creation of business processes that align with University, State, and federal guidelines. Ideally I would like to use my skills in organizational leadership and international management to administer/facilitate interdisciplinary research teams across organizations. I am willing to relocate, either domestically or internationally.
