I am an Associate Professor at the North-West University (NWU), Potchefstroom campus, South Africa. In 2014 I completed my Ph.D. in Food Sciences at the University of the Free State, South Africa. In 2017, I received the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship for postdoctoral studies at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. In 2019, I received an Y2 rating from the National Research Foundation (NRF). I am registered as a Natural Scientist at the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP). In 2023 I received the NWU Faculty of Health Sciences Teaching Award. The aim of my research is to investigate consumers' food choices in a specific context to strive for sustainable food consumption.
