Past committees: Chair Civic Projects, CoChair Shakespeare Garden, CoChair National Affairs Legislation, Chair Programs, Chair Nominating. GCE is an affiliate of the Garden Club of America, an organization with a hundred year history of environmental advocacy. Each February GCA representatives meet with our Senators and Congress in Washington DC. We discuss our position papers on various pending bills that affect the environment.GCE members are the custodians and chief gardeners of the historic Shakespeare Garden on the campus of Northwestern University. Designed in 1915 by Jens Jensen, for nearly a hundred years the garden has thrived under the care of GCE and served as beautiful setting for many weddings.

Presently serve on Charitable Foundation. Past committees include: Contributions Committee, CoChair Holiday Dinner, Community Outreach, House and Grounds, Philanthropy.

I am currently mentoring two talented Evanston students in their persistent quest for a college degree. I also contribute whenever I can to the Evanston Scholars organization which provides college access and support to over 150 promising, first generation, low income students attending high school and college.

BKBX Mime is an award winning, highly talented physical theatre company founded in 2010 in New York City. They have received highly favorable reviews from Broadway World, Time Out New York and Fox News local TV. In addition they offer regular, well attended classes in physical theatre for adults and children. During my tenure as a board member I have presented research on various small theatre companies and financed the company's initial membership in professional organizations. BKBX has doubled their budget and increased earned income to 50%.

The Evanston Arts Council consists of fifteen Evanstonians appointed by the Mayor to serve three years. We partner with the City to forge a vision for the arts in Evanston.Supporting Art Under Glass, Backstage Evanston, Lakeshore Arts Festival, Cultural Connections luncheons, the EvanstARTS study and NEA funded feasibility study for arts venues in the downtown area. Assist in setting agendas and coordinating volunteers.
