Registered Teacher with the Teaching Council, Member of the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD). Member of the Mediators Institute of Ireland (MII) . Involved in Training and Development for over 10 years. Coordinator of Training at Skills for Employment, EDENDERRY LTI, Offaly Local Development with responsibility for Coordination and delivery of QQI accredited training. Worked for IDEAS Institute Dublin delivering FETAC accredited Training. Participation in SIPTU College Partnership, Skillsnet from September 2000 to March 2003. Involved in 3 European Projects "Play to Speak" which dealt with opening up learners to effective communications and presentation skills. "Amada" dealt with the assessment of maths and knowledge deficiencies of adult learners with socio-economic disadvantage with IDEAS Institute, Dublin and in the piloting of both . Spent time in Demark, Rome and Vilnius, Lithuania on Seniors and Mobility (SAM) project which dealt with the free movement of labour and the mobility of workers within the EU.
