In 2004 relocated to Southern Maryland to implement the opening of a new Southern Maryland division, starting with a community called Wildewood in St. Mary's County.Managed Merchandising teams for the model home park, with 7 models built and merchandised; a separate Visitor's Center, a Design Center and 2 offices.Designed the sales and product environment, and implemented the design, set up and processes for the Design Center, an auxiliary profit center; hired staff of three; and exceeded the profit goals established.Recruited, hired, trained and managed the Sales Team of four. Sold 177 homes from September 2005 through December 2006, settled 113 homes in the first construction year and exceeded the sales and profit projections set for our group. Recruited to the in-home sales décor team of the newly formed subsidiary of Home Depot when it was first established in the Washington area.Focus on individual customers redecorating their homes, and on homebuilders to convince them to purchase materials from Expo.Consistently ranked either number 1 or number 2 in the in-home décor department in total retail sales.

As a result of the 1988-1992 economic downturn in the residential and commercial building industry, my position was eliminated due to a large reduction in the homebuilding company. As a strong self-starter, I chose to launch a business as a model home merchandiser and custom decorator.Designed, and conducted a "guerilla" marketing and sales program featuring hands-on consultation and turnkey installation for individuals wanting to redecorate.Developed a specialized grouping of services for targeted home builders, from on-site color selections for new homebuyers, to full model decorating for five home builders, a total of 13 model homes.
