Supported efforts to establish an enterprise content strategy and publishing model for the service- Led early development of a content publishing model including an enterprise content life cycle, formal publishing roles, uniform content standards and a service-wide governance framework.- Collaborated with peers to establish and implement a user-centered content improvement playbook focused on identifying, analyzing and addressing user needs.- Analyzed web usage reports, search term reports, satisfaction survey comments and call center analytics to evaluate key performance metrics and determine user goals.

Led IRS content migration efforts and support the transition to a new content management system:- Modeled content types and defining metadata requirements for the new IRS.gov information architecture.- Defined the content migration approach and mapped content.- Rewrote training modules to reflect plain language standards and business rules.

Developed a strategy to transition legacy intranet content to a task-based site and led the implementation:- Guided 15 functional teams through the content transition process to identify scope and audiences, perform a task analysis to define user needs, convert needs to a full content inventory, then group and label the inventory items to outline a structure that translated to the new website information architecture and navigation structure. - Managed project workflow, coached peer team leads, advised team members and content owners on web best practices, organization standards, user-centric design and 508-compliance requirements.- Coordinated internal activities for a Gerry McGovern-led Customer Carewords project to identify top tasks for intranet users.

Supported the IRS by providing on-site web development services for the Small Business/Self-Employed division compliance intranet sites: - Planned and managed the reorganization of existing websites to reflect a business reorganization, implemented a new page design and documented intranet standards and guidelines.- Migrated legacy content to the new template and coordinated the launch of the new sites.- Served as web content producer for the division intranet sites, worked with subject matter experts to optimize content for the web, improve user experience and ensure accessibility.

Administered and maintained a 700-plus page intranet site for one of the Washington, D.C. region's largest supermarket chains, coordinating a team of 60 content authors:- Guided the organization through a migration from the NetObjects Team Fusion web authoring tool to a new enterprise-wide content management application, including developing and conducting training.- Developed a migration strategy, created project schedules, planned and managed the project, defined requirements for and designed content templates and migrated all content to the new system- Authored and produced daily updates to the intranet landing page for internal communications to associates.

Responsible for retail, classified display and real estate ad design, pagination, incorporation of ad stacks with editorial layout and electronic pre-press: - Created original ad designs for advertisers looking for new design ideas.- Refined basic outlines submitted by advertising representatives to provide creative design alternatives.

Managed circulation, distribution, production and web projects in support of AudioFile magazine and its related publications:- Coordinated the switch from a long-standing web service vendor to a local provider, including a site redesign and functional upgrades for a searchable audiobook review application - Analyzed web usage statistics and presented quarterly updates to the Editorial Board.

Provided web, print publication, graphics support and technical writing services to MLJ to support their telecommunications engineering products and services: - Developed print, electronic and multimedia user's guides and demos for hardware and software products.- Mastered HTML and web development and established MLJ's initial Internet website and intranet.
