As a Director of Studies, I was responsible for interviewing, developing, managing and retaining academic staff. This involved observing classes to assess development needs, creating training programs to address these needs, and working with my Senior Teacher team to develop and deliver training. I was also responsible for organizing and leading meetings with my direct reports. I also collaborated with other departments to address customer concerns, create individual development plans for students with special needs, and plan which classes would open. Finally, a Director of Studies must work with other centers to determine company policies, organize regional training sessions for teachers, and produce new courses and content.

Senior teachers are responsible for maintaining a high standard of teaching quality in their classes while also mentoring and training new teachers. As a senior teacher, I was responsible for creating and delivering training sessions to a multinational teaching team. I was also responsible for analysing students' progress on tests, and on assisting the Director of Studies with the implementation of new processes and policies.

Teachers at EF work in a fast-paced, custormer-facing position. I was responsible for ensuring the academic progress of my students, keeping up-to-date with academic theory and communicating progress to parents via progress reports, parent-teacher meetings, and student presentations. I was also responsible for generating sales by participating in marketing events and leading demonstration classes.
