With a desire to expand and utilise my skills I moved to the casual pool where I became the back up for the Bookings Administrator, responsible for the smooth transfer of patients from one hospital to another involving managing bed space, communicating with charge nurses and specialists to ensure a safe, balanced environment

Front face for a busy rehabilitation ward for elderly patients. Along with the administration work I thoroughly enjoyed establishing the ward library so patients could borrow books during their stay, never resting, I convinced our charge nurse and then fund raised to buy an aquarium which was a huge hit with patients and visitors alike - our ward became more of a home away from home with a highlight being organising, baking and hosting a high tea for our patients. Staff also needed a mid week boost so I introduced 'Whittaker Wednesday' - plates of Whittaker chocolate were scattered around the ward, we instantly became a very popular ward to visit. Christmas was a special time so I rounded up a team of elves and we completely transformed the ward into a glittering spectacle - we even had staff donate decorations, trees and lights to create a stunning place if you had to be in hospital.
