The goal of this project is to identify brain activity patterns associated with consciously intending movement. To do this, a Brain-Computer interface will be developed for the real-time prediction of movement intentions from brain signals .

Internship in the 'Brain-Computer Interfacing' group. In this project I developed a brain-computer interface that predicts in real-time when someone has the intention to move based on neural preporatory signals in the brain. When movement preparation was detected in the brain, this was fed back to the person by means of functional electrical stimulation (FES) in order to investigate the subjective experience of intending to move.
