Anne Gregory PhD is Professor Emeritus of Corporate Communication at the University of Huddersfield. She teaches on Executive Education programmes for the UK Government, is an Adjunct Professor at RMIT Australia and LSPR Indonesia and Visiting Professor at the Universities of Navarra; Johannesburg and UTS, Australia. Anne is an international researcher most recently directing the Global Capability Framework which had been adopted by professional associations worldwide. Dr Gregory is a Board member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, the world's second largest professional, responsible for strategy and oversight. Anne has been an Non-Executive Director of three National Health Service Trust and most recently was Senior Independent NED at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. She runs her own consultancy and training company, Practix Ltd which has clients in the UK, Europe and Asia. Anne sits on the Advisory Board of Echo Research an international market research company providing brand and reputation insights driving performance improvement and transformation. Echo has served over 500 clients spanning all sectors and runs Britain’s Most Admired Companies study, the longest survey of corporate reputation in the country.Professor Gregory is a Reviewer of Government Communication Departments, appointed by the Prime Minister's Office and Cabinet Office, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations #AIinPR Panel co-authoring three of its major research reports. She is a former President of the CIPR, leading it to chartered status and former Chair of the Global Alliance, the international confederation of public relations and communication management associations. She holds the Sir Stephen Tallents Medal for outstanding contribution to the profession, The Institute for Public Relations Pathfinder Award for outstanding research, the Canadian Public Relations Society Outstanding Achievement Award for the Global Capability Framework and the Public Relations of America Atlas Award for outstanding contribution in international public relations.Before joining Huddersfield University she was at Leeds Beckett University where she held several posts including* Professor and Director of the Centre for Public Relations Studies* Pro Vice Chancellor* Head of School of Business StrategyAnne spent many years in practice up to Board level including:* Director of Weber Shandwick (North)* Director of External Affairs, University of Bradford* Head of Public Relations, Bradford and Bingley* Freelance broadcaster, BBC, ILR.
