Plans and conducts examinations using extensive specialized knowledge of accounting techniques, practices, investigative techniques to examine and resolve various tax issues of business organizations that include extensive subsidiaries with operations of national and/or international scope.Knowledge of specialized accounting techniques and practices. Knowledge of audit procedures and accounting principles and theories issues and transactions to determine the correct tax. Knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, regulations, rulings, court decisions, and agency policies to conduct extensive research of legal questions, including considerations judicial decisions and legislative intent in cases involving the adaptation of precedents dealing with the tax implications of international and/or domestic transactions. Knowledge of tax treaties between the United States and foreign governments, plus knowledge of relevant portions of the tax laws of those countries to assess the correct tax liability.
