I worked in Advertising and Occasionally helped in the food organisation for "This is your Life"​ by Eamonn Andrews. Thames Television was the "it"​ TV company and my job was an "it" job, none of us had to work very hard or ingeniously. The people came to us. Learnt from this the huge scale and cost of advertising undertaken by the major TV advertisers. The sort of things they considered worked and the advertising agencies that could provide it. I watched projects take shape. Would have stayed longer but I got sacked for taking time off and blaming the rail strike. I had not read the news. The rail strike was off.
