I'm a freelance developmental editor and copyeditor living in Brooklyn, New York. I was associate editor at Counterpoint/Soft Skull Press for five years, but I've been out on my own since 2010. I work mainly on fiction (mostly literary fiction or fiction with both literary and commercial appeal), memoir, and narrative or creative nonfiction. Since 2011, I've worked part-time as an editor with the literary agent Renée Zuckerbrot at Massie & McQuilkin Agency. I'm also an editor working with the Center for Fiction, helping the Emerging Writer Fellows get their manuscripts ready for agents. I enjoy working with both established and first-time authors, and am comfortable working with both traditionally published and self-published books.
