I spent over ten years working in IT in local and global support. The best things in support work were the problem solving and helping people.Studying a MOOC course offered by the University of Helsinki (programming with Java) got me hooked on learning. I applied and was accepted to study Computer Science at the University of Tampere, from which I graduated with a M.Sc. in 2018, with a focus in usability and UX. I returned there in Fall 2020 for a six-month study module, during which I focused on my database skills, particularly SQL.In 2021 I started at Pinja as a technical writer. The work allows me to combine problem solving with writing (my favorites!), and hopefully my documentation will someday be of help to someone (because everybody reads manuals, right!). Being able to read code and understand a thing or two about databases has helped a little. Being able to ask a lot of stupid questions has been a priceless asset!At Pinja, I have the liberty and the responsibility to largely set my own schedule and organize my work, which means lots of todo lists (I love making lists!), days spent in meetings trying to understand what I'm documenting, and days and days of writing, editing, reorganizin,g and writing some more. I think I may have found my calling! <3
