The majority of my time was spent working independently on two large projects for the controller. The first involved correcting a year's worth of very badly snarled accounts. I not only completely corrected all of the complex accounting but also successfully collected the total amount owed from every account except for one small one. The was over $1,000,000 that had been considered uncollectable. The second project involved properly culling and preparing decades of documents for retention from numerous departments that had been closed sooner than expected. The key documents had to be retained for any future regulatory or legal needs, and be so well organized and cataloged that they could be managed cross-country. Before becoming the assistant to the controller, I reported to his senior administrative assistant. In that position, I assisted her with preparing documents, filing, distributing incoming mail, and any other needed tasks, My first role was as an assistant to a Marketing Director and 3 Product Managers who reported to her. I prepared memos, emails, presentations, and other documents for them; managed their calendars; set up frequent meetings, including any AV or catering needed; made any necessary travel arrangements; and filtered their email, mail, and incoming calls.
