Policy Placement: USDA, Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) -Developed communication materials, including toolkits, one-pagers, and other resources distributed nationally to State agencies and program operators-Presented on a national webinar to State agencies and program operators -Supported the Office of Community Food Systems in their effort to improve access to CNP Field Placement: Illinois Hunger Coalition -Conducted assessment of best practices for SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) programs across the nation and an assessment of the developing SNAP E&T program in Illinois -Began coalition building with workforce development groups and other stakeholders around SNAP E&T policy and advocacy, particularly to ensure the time-limit waiver was submitted for able-bodied adults without dependents

-Mentored and supported youth employees during garden maintenance and community engagement events -Co-facilitated nutrition and cooking classes for youth employees-Researched and developed a budget for a new compost structure to reduce office waste and increase efficiency
