• Sailed from San Francisco to Mexico and then across the Pacific Ocean to Australia by carefully preparing and outfitting a 36-foot sailboat and her crew for offshore sailing.

• Managed a scientific healthcare project to design, implement and validate a non-invasive, highly accurate system for measuring relative skeletal motion, with applications in orthopaedics and sports medicine. • Developed a markerless radiostereometric analysis (RSA) method using bi-planar fluoroscopy and computed tomography (CT), allowing the measurement of 3D inter-articular joint motion.• Validated the markerless RSA method for 0.1 mm and 1.4 ° accuracies in measuring relative shoulder kinematics through comparison with accepted “gold standard” technologies.• Achieved a 98% reduction in shoulder CT radiation exposure with markerless RSA, while achieving similar accuracies, by evaluation against standard-dose CT protocol results.• Liaised between health care professionals, technologists and researchers to effectively anticipate and resolve conflicts as well as communicate project expectations and results.
