Currently, I am working as a Partner Engagement and Communication Specialist for the Minnesota Department of Health. In this role, I'm working to educate Minnesotans about their drinking water with a focus on private well owners. This includes planning outreach events, developing online learning materials, and answering questions from the public about their wells and drinking water. Previously, I worked for the University of Minnesota Extension as Regional Extension Educator focusing on water quality in outstate Minnesota, with an emphasis on groundwater quality. My main focus areas are private drinking water wells, drinking water quality and testing, irrigation water management, and basic groundwater science. In the past, I have worked with farmers on irrigated sandy soils to help improve nitrate leaching and groundwater concerns, and as a graduate research assistant at the University of Minnesota working on nitrate leaching in sandy soils. I've also done internships at Winfield United and with a private crop consultant in Southern Minnesota. Please let me know if you have any questions!
