My passion is teaching others about scientific methods and analysis, and my skills have ranged from microbiological work for mold, asbestos and bacteria, to educating the public about indoor air quality, to studying coral and fish in the ocean. After spending 13 years in the microbiological and quality control industry, I took the leap to start my own Mold Inspection company in the state of Florida. I enjoy teaching homeowners and business owners about the biology of mold and how to prevent its growth indoors, and I'm always eager to expand my knowledge base with continuing education opportunities and collaboration. Professional highlights include managing a microbiology and asbestos lab, publishing my independent research titled, 'Comparing predatory fish populations between two islands: densely populated Roatan, Honduras, and sparsely populated San Salvador, Bahamas.' in Rider University's Horizons journal, and presenting this research at a Benthic Ecology Meeting. I have also taught mold analysis workshops and assisted in multiple mold and Phase Contrast Microscopy seminars throughout Florida, and continue to volunteer in the Bahamas on a regular basis for coral reef research and restoration activities.
