Senior Manager
CurrentI am part of the Court of Protection team at Boyes Turner. The team specialises in the setting up of Trusts for those with capacity and deputyships for those without, in respect of compensation awards for clients who have suffered clinical negligence or personal injury. We also deal with capacity issues involving the Court of Protection for those who have potentially lost capacity as a result of a medical condition, such as dementia.I have a background of nursing and many years experience in assisting on catastrophic personal injury matters, to include spinal injury and brain injury. This specialist experience has given me an insight into the requirements and anxieties faced by both the clients and their families following a life changing accident and a loss of capacity.I am able to use my knowledge and experience in assisting clients and deputies on a day to day basis, which includes working with a broad multi-disciplinary team to include the client and their families, case managers, therapists and doctors. I also have experience of working with the Official Solicitor and the Court of Protection on contentious and non-contentious matters to include deputy applications, Statutory Wills, family disputes and many other topics.
