Ombudsman
Current• Maintain a caseload of 47 assisted living and skilled nursing communities where approximately 1,600 long-term care residents reside.• Connect with and interview residents to determine their overall satisfaction with their quality of life and care.• Empower residents to use their voice in asserting their expressed interests and in being an active member of the complaint resolution process.• Improve resident quality of life and care by facilitating complaint resolution with long-term care staff.• Develop and execute training initiatives to increase visibility in long-term care settings on topics such as Resident Rights, Elder Abuse, Dementia, and Anti-Bullying.• Consult with long-term care staff on person-centered practices, resident rights, and industry regulations.
