Key Account Director, Global Sales (May 2008 – June 2018)Groups & Meetings: Associations and Conventions, Washington, DC area and Northeast regionManaged sales of guest rooms and meeting space for IHG Hotels globally, representing over 5,900 hotels in 100 countries to international and national associations and intermediaries. Discovered, cultivated, and managed a diverse set of accounts.• Developed Northeast Region Association segment resulting in incremental gains of $25M in rooms revenue and market share growth.• Awarded the first ever Rainmaker award for closing an $8M multi-hotel deal with the USDA.• Teamed with industry-specific associations to develop a lobbying presence for the global travel industry; helped transform the industry from “unheard of” to “part of the vernacular” on Capitol Hill.• Built account relationships that grew into IHG’s current largest group accounts; managed these accounts producing the highest revenue returns.• Introduced new segments and strategy to IHG’s portfolio, including unions, housing companies, exhibition companies, and association management companies• Designed process to onboard new hotels and sales representatives selling into the convention market resulting in higher market share growth.

Developed a targeted marketing and industry volunteerism strategy to grow IHG’s image and market penetration in the DC region.• Designed and implemented a sales strategy targeting business in new sectors as well as from top tier providers. Successfully put IHG in contention in the Washington, DC region, effectively competing with Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt properties.• Penetrated the manufacturing and union associations market vertical, personally growing revenue from $3M to $10M (~60% revenue growth in four years).• Performed deep-dive data analyses for associations, identifying new market targets, and potential revenue expansion to increase IHG’s market share.• Developed strategy for driving revenue including sponsorships, drip campaigns, and related marketing efforts.
