As part of my Applied Learning Placement fellowship through the Bolz Center for Arts Administration, I am honored to work in the Development Department at the Madison Children's Museum. My responsibilities involve:•Collaborating directly with President & CEO and senior leadership team to contribute to achieving MCM’s mission and fundraising goals •Coordinating, writing, and executing grant proposals and reports with government, corporate foundation, and foundation partners•Streamlining organizational processes and planning systems for efficient grants management •Working alongside Development team at donor-centric special events and exhibit openings

My primary responsibilities at ArtOps included writing and managing all grants for client organizations, including: Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings, Eisenhower Dance Detroit, Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival, Motor City Brass Band, Madrigal Chorale, and Cabaret 313. I also managed and stewarded relationships with foundation, government, and corporate funders. Responsibilities within this area of institutional giving were a continuation of what I achieved previously as Grants & Outreach Manager. My expanded role as Institutional Giving Officer extended my relationship building skills with securing corporate sponsorships and maintaining these relationships, individual donor development and stewardship, and Development Committee work, particularly with Detroit Chamber Winds and Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival. My duties as team lead for the Festival program notes as well as education/outreach for the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival and DCWS remained the same as when I was Institutional Giving Officer.

Grants manager at ArtOps, an LLC of Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings, recently launched in March 2015. I wrote and managed grants for client organizations, including: Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings, Eisenhower Dance, Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival, Motor City Brass Band, Madrigal Chorale, and Pro Musica of Detroit. Responsibilities in this arena were a continuation of what I achieved previously as Development Associate at Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings. My duties in Development, the Intern Program, and with Festival program notes remained.I additionally managed education/outreach for Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings and the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival, including monitoring project budgets, coordinating with school administrators and artists, implementing activities, and fulfilling evaluation measures related to reporting.
