• Lead for the twelve corporate activities for all corporate nuclear power manuals in radiological controls. • Owner of corporate manual change process.• Ensure adequate input from appropriate stakeholders for local, corporate, and NAVSEA manual changes and proper implementation of the changes. • Provide technical interpretations to engineering and production personnel for compliance with radiological control technical source documents.• Evaluate branch personnel’s performance to ensure proficiency, compliance with requirements & expectations and continuous professional development. Mentor and counsel personnel as appropriate. • Hire qualified individuals to support mission of branch.

Interfaced with local regulatory affairs and corporate mixed material oversight organizations for regulatory and process requirements.• Provided technical guidance, interpretations, and resolved questions for engineering and production personnel regarding proactive and reactive waste designation and the mixed waste management process. Key Projects • Lead Engineer for Mixed Waste Manuals Restructuring and Implementation by providing technical 2012 direction for engineering and production on characterization, generation, accumulation, processing, packing, long term storage, spill response and training for personnel. Streamlined and reduced number of manuals for each user group and clarified requirements. • Lead Engineer for Labeling LEAN Even to create a new universal labeling process owned by the nuclear 2011waste program for accumulation and storage of mixed waste on-site at all PSNS&IMF sites. Reduced labeling requirements. • Lead Mixed Waste Engineer for three mixed waste shipments to Energy Solutions Clive Utah & Perma Fix
