Joined the Army Reserves when I threw in the Personal Training as I was looking for something more in my life. At Age 42 I thought I had missed the boat on having kids. However, after spending the gruelling 6 weeks (43 days to be exact) in boot camp at Kapooka NSW and completing IET for Admin at the magnificent Naval Base on the river in East Freemantle I fell pregnant and had a beautiful daughter in July 2004, just over 12 months after I had marched out of Kapooka. I tried to keep up the Reserves for about 12 months after that but with a small child and full time job at Secon I really didn't need a part time job as well! As difficult as Kapooka was it was the most amazing experience. What I thought were my boundaries physically and mentally were far exceeded when I was pushed by 5 screaming Corprals. And the weapons training .... well that' another story all together.

Franchisee of Outdoor fitness programme based primarily around walking outdoors.Ran 13 classes a week so fit as a fiddle back then and met lot of great women who came to my classes but unfortunately, too hard to make a living at this game, so relinquished franchise after a couple of years, Then took the opportunity to go to Kapooka for 6 weeks and become an Army Reserve prior to re-entering the PAYE workforce full time again in 2003.
