My role is to take care of the smooth running of Kaulo & Partners' day-to-day business administration and client service, as well as marketing and communications. In Kaulo & Partners' agile team, I’m also supporting the company’s lawyers and trademark specialists in client assignments.Kaulo & Partners, Licensed Legal Counsels, Ltd. is a Helsinki based boutique intellectual property law firm. Our clients are companies that consider intellectual property rights as a strategic asset and invest in increasing the value of their brands. We ourselves focus on quality over quantity to ensure that we are able to provide the best possible service and work proactively with every client. For us, quality means not only documenting in style and care, but understanding the real needs of the client and finding cost-effective solutions for them.

I took up the challenge and opportunity to jump into the world of trademarks and brands as part of Kolster’s Global Paralegal Team. During this intense period, I helped our global clients in managing and maintaining their trademark portfolios in the world of mergers and acquisitions, specializing in trademark renewals and transfers.

During my 16+ years at Kolster, I feel privileged having had the opportunity to focus on creating content, and especially on writing and sharing our clients’ stories about how intellectual property rights have helped these innovative companies to reach their growth targets on global markets – and change the world with their innovations. Since 2005 until spring 2017, I was multi-tasking as a one-person marketing and communications unit at Kolster, reporting in this role to CEO, before establishment of a larger Kolster marketing & sales team in 2017. I planned and organized IPR seminars and events in a fruitful collaboration with patent and trademark attorneys and lawyers. I acted as the editor-in-chief of the client magazine Kolster Info, and was responsible for the content and development of the website, social media, sales support and brand materials, partnership and client events, internal communications, and recreational & educational events for the personnel in collaboration with the HR function. In 2017 Kolster renewed its logo, brand and the marketing strategy. It was inspiring to be part of this renewal process, and to build new skills among others in the areas of marketing automation and search engine optimisation.

Adaptation of Bombardier Group’s marketing communication and brand strategies locally in Finland, internal communications, customer and personnel events, and HR reporting to the Group. Marketing support for the Bombardier Helsinki site’s local core competence, i.e. development of intelligent rail traffic management systems (EBI Screen) that have been delivered to numerous rail administrations and metro companies worldwide. Corporate communications and projects related to building of the brand image of ABB in Finland: the Annual Report and other corporate marketing materials and presentations (print and online), advertising, exhibitions and fairs, sponsoring, recruitment image & events at selected universities for career paths (“ABB Dates"). A major project in 1995 was a multimedia company presentation project, where I acted as a project manager. The content and visual design created during this large project formed a base for ABB Finland’s local website in 1996. My responsibilities also covered co-ordination of Finnish ABB Group’s marketing activities, such as planning and implementing of large corporate exhibition stands with side events at international fairs where several individual ABB companies participated under one roof. Editorial tasks and writing articles for ABB Oy Group's internal newsletter and customer magazine; implementing brochure projects for individual ABB companies.

During 1991-1993 I worked for the Executive Management of the ABB Oy Group with several special roles and tasks, such as implementing special projects for the Group’s Communications Director. Further, when needed, I acted as a deputy assistant for the President and CEO of ABB Oy Group, as well as for the Corporate General Counsel. The role included also assisting the Business Development Director, as well as the Project Director for Management Development. The tasks were wide-ranging and had focus on communication and correspondence with the international ABB group. During the years 1989-1991 I acted as a PA to Director of Commercial Affairs and Domestic Sales of ABB Oy Group. My responsibilities included marketing coordination and administrative tasks related to the management of the sales network in different ABB locations, planning and implementation of the Finnish ABB Group's domestic marketing activities, such as fairs and customer events. In addition to this position, I also worked as an assistant to the Group's CIO.

Client service and supporting export sales of power transformers (1985-87) and protective relays (1987-88) on global markets. Focus on client correspondence, the tasks also included translating of technical transformer brochures from Finnish into English.
