Synchroon is a renowned city developer with projects in big cities all across the Netherlands. Conceptual, green and innovative with a focus on healthy cities. As a city developer, I was active in different projects in Breda, Rijswijk, near Rotterdam, varying between housing at the edge of town (200+ dwellings) to inner-city redevelopment (demolition of 350 to make place for 550 dwellings). Next to my role as project developer, I fulfilled the role as advisor for public participation and placemaking within the company. I immersed myself into designing with nature and climate adaptation, sustainable mobility, circularity and low carbon architecture, with a focus on biobased materials and mass timber. As part of a 2 year professional talent programme of the TBI holding, I worked in three different positions at three selected companies within TBI. Each with different products, company size and culture, and learning objectives fitting my ambitions. The programme aims to kickstart your career and positions you to start a management career at one of TBI’s companies. TBI is one of the biggest contractor firms of the Netherlands with prominent projects in real estate, infrastructure and technology. The three roles I held were:• July-April: Synchroon (https://synchroon.nl/), as citydeveloper. Development of housing in Breda, The Hague and Rijswijk. Projects differ from smaller scale single-family housing in the city outskirts to larger complex projects with apartments, retail and public space development. • May-December: ERA Contour (https://www.eracontour.nl/), as concept developer. Feasibility study on opportunities for neighbourhood improvement through spatial interventions in Utrecht, in the neighbourhood Overvecht Noord. Development consisted of densification by residential dwellings, design of public space, retail and non-fysical interventions such as the contribution to social programs. All in in close collaboration with other developers, social housing corporations, municipality and inhabitants of the neighbourhood itself. • January-August: Comfort Partners (https://www.comfort-partners.nl/), as Projectmanager Sustainable installations. Contribute to making our housing stock more sustainable through technical installations (heat pumps, WTW, etc.) and providing residents with a comfortable home. Project consisted of the reintroduction of newer heatpumps in existing housing of a whole neighbourhood. Role was not solely commercial, as well as technical and organizational (supply chain, management)

Every year, IRPdelft carries out consultancy projects for multinationals in new markets (Argentina in 2018) with a multidisciplinary team of selected TU Delft master’s students. As board we were responsible for the continuity of the foundation, the recruitment and selection of students and as team member for project acquisition.

As a result of a successful acquisition period of IRPdelft 2018, I got the opportunity to do a project for Philips Healthcare Argentina. The project contained conducting a 'Customer Journey Mapping' for the departments DI (Diagnostic Imaging) and IGT (Image Guided Therapy) of Philips Argentina with a multidisciplinary team of 5 master students from the TU Delft. After the Customer Journey Mapping, we organized workshops with the whole office to discuss the results and more importantly, create a hands-on action plan for the Philips Argentina office to improve their customer service.

Activities consisted of preparing presentations, (support of) design of urban plans and setting up and handling participation processes.

Board member:Full-time board with nine members of a student association Virigel. As a group responsible for managing the association with 2000 members and an annual turnover of € 2.1 million. Personally responsible for all subassociations for sport and culture, the member- and alumni network and the renovation of the workspaces in the 16th century monastery.Years after: Member of the Board of directors:Part-time board with eight members with monthly meetings responsible for the long-term strategy of Virgiel. Personal focus was on the coordination of various committees and continuity and growth of the subassociations for sports & culture.

Working multiple weeks per summer at a sailingschool for children between 8 and 18 years old. Functioning as group leader for the instructors and as instructor myself: teaching children remotely in small boats. Responsible for the safety and well-being of the children, evening program, repair of damage to the boats and lesson preparation.
