As Communications Lead, I play a key role within the agency, as an expert in communications and marketing for our clients and Stratos. My role involves crafting content, strategies, press releases, overseeing messaging and outreach across platforms, along with managing both internal and external communications. I also lead and direct the team on public relations and communication projects.In this diverse role, I pitch to prospective clients, assist team members on projects, and brief new campaigns — every day I work on a different brand or project.As part of the Leadership team, helping shape the agency's strategy, tone of voice, and focus on the Stratos vision, I support the agency's objectives and ambitions.

I specialise in working with businesses that balance profit and purpose, delivering marketing strategy, PR, social media and creative copywriting, and helping them to reach as many people as possible with their positive stories.

Working with clients from a variety of industries including security, electrical, automotive, financial, engineering, food & beverage, leisure and events, I am responsible for strategy development, day to day PR activity and achieving positive results to my clients'​ KPIs. I work closely with my clients' marketing team to build and maintain relationships with key spokespeople and to act as an extension of their internal PR and marketing department.

I am responsible for the day to day PR activity on my client's accounts. This includes developing news stories, researching and writing news releases, gaining approvals and managing distribution. I work closely with local, regional and national journalists, trade journals in target sectors and my client's key staff and partners. I have many year's experience working in communications departments both client and agency side.

I successfully raised the profile of the not-for-profit organisation, resulting in an increase in students taking up sports leadership courses, by creating engaging and topical content to run across multiple communications channels, including the website, Sports Leaders UK magazine, on social media and within leisure and education media. I managed the speaker slots and ensured there was a clear and consistent line of communication with organisers, visitors and honoured guests at the Sports Leaders UK House of Lords event. I took the role of editor for all new tutor/assessor training manuals and all Sports Leaders UK awards and qualifications documentation.

Responsible for supporting the communications and marketing manager in delivering successful campaigns to engage the local community and promote the positive work of the council, I researched, wrote and distributed regular press releases, sub-edited the quarterly magazine and produced a staff newsletter. I managed the content on the council’s website and intranet and worked with each department to produce a range of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, folders and roller banners. I achieved recognition from the Local Government Association (LGA) for a week of events that I coordinated for Climate Change week and delivered a leading marketing initiative for the launch of the county’s new waste and recycling scheme, which saw the rise of Roary, a giant recycling tiger. Working with the greenspace team, I supported the accreditation and promotion of the national ‘Walking for Health’ scheme in Surrey Heath, which continues to be very popular today.
