Anne Whitty Photography specializes in real estate, families, children, newborns, maternity, couples, high school senior, and sports portrait photography. As owner and photographer at Anne Whitty Photography I answer emails, market my portrait specials, create and maintain awebsite for the business, keep track of all money into and out of the business, scout out photography locations, correspond with my clients, photograph clients on a weekly basis, edit the photographs using Lightroom and Photoshop, upload the photographs to an online gallery, ful]ill photography print orders, and send out thank you notes to my clients. I also ensure that my clients receive the best possible customer service.

As a Contract Photographer for Blackwell Real Estate, my duties are to photograph the inside and outside of each house, run the MatterPort Camera to create a virtual tour of the property, edit the photographs, upload the MatterPort images, create invoices, and upload the photographs to an online gallery. I have been trained how to use the MatterPort virtual tour camera. I also ensure that the photographs are taken, edited, and uploaded to the gallery within 24-36 hours.

At the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History I volunteer in the Invertebrate Zoology Department. We are currently working on a project to digitally catalog the type collection. This involves photographing bivalves and gastropods from different angles, as well as editing the photographs using Photoshop. During the editing process I create a plate that shows each angle of the bivalve or gastropod. The plate also includes the scienti]ic name of the shell as well as the year it was found and who found it. Once the plate is completed in Photoshop it is then sent to the head of the Invertebrate Zoology Department for review. Once the plate has been reviewed and approved it is then uploaded to the Smithsonian Invertebrate Zoology online catalog.
