I work within the regeneration project for Milton Keynes which covers 7 areas. The project aims to improve all aspects of living, working, education, recreation and housing within these areas. I work within the 'people strand' to build cohesive, strong communities. I network between key agencies on the estates and build confidence amongst the residents. Key responsibilities include:- Planned and developed a communication scheme for the seven estates- Discovering key communicators within the estates- Chairing committees- Research using questionnaires, attending drop-ins and representing the MkCouncil and subsequently YourMK at residents meetings.

I organised and ran family conferences which addressed issues around children and their families in the community.Key responsibilities included:- Liaised with the referrers (social workers) - Consulted with members of the close family and wider family- Gained the views and wishes of the child/children concerned to ensure their views were heard- Organised and chaired conferences.- Produced plans agreed by the family and social worker and circulated accordingly.- Organised and ran follow up meetings when requested.

P3 was commissioned by Milton Keynes Council to deliver the 'Troubled Families Programme' in the area. My role was to work intensively with referred families to support them to find solutions to their very complex problems.
