Manages the Park Authority’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, which share stories emanating from over 400 parks, 9 RECenters and many other facilities and programs in Fairfax County. Implements content marketing strategies to increase reach and engagement across all social platforms by working closely with site staff to develop targeted campaigns. Helps plan and executes approximately 20 events per year, including ribbon cuttings, dedications, ground breaking and evening events. Designs invitations and programs, coordinates logistics with site staff, and takes photographs. Responds to routine media inquiries and establishes media contacts, and supports promotional efforts. Researches, writes, designs and edits a variety of publications, including press releases, newsletters, calendars, brochures, pamphlets, fact sheets and reports using desktop publishing, image processing, and graphic design software. Develops and implements communication and action plans for a host of projects, events, and programs. Facilitates community engagement, public meetings, workshops, and charettes; and responds to citizen inquiries concerning agency programs and services. Supports the efforts of the agency's lead PIO and spokesperson.

Serves as primary online communicator for the Health Department, administering the department's public website, intranet, and social media platforms: • Targets specific audiences by crafting tailored messages on a broad range of public health issues and determining the best social media tactics to deliver those messages • Conceptualizes, researches, writes, edits, designs, and maintains content for 300+ public Web pages, 1300+ forms and HTML pages on the agency’s intranet (FairfaxNET), and social media platforms • Analyzes Web metrics to inform online communications development • Participates in strategic social media planning with the county's Office of Public Affairs and other county departments.
