Contributed to the design, content, curriculum and materials development, and delivery of a CBI (Content-Based Instruction) Intensive English Language Program for 36 diplomats from Taiwan. English language instruction is integrated with the content of Tourism, Arts & Culture; Finance &Trade; or Green Energy issues. Goals include developing the ability of trainees to use English effectively and appropriately, depending on the context, while developing communicative competence in particular discourse communities. Real-world, authentic materials are used to create a custom-designed course for the group.Courses include International Negotiation, Discussion/Reading/Writing, Conference Presentations, Pronunciation, and Email/Business Writing and Telephoning Workshops.

Through the power of numbers, we combine our donations at quarterly events to make an immediate impact to local nonprofits.
