Anne is an advocate for women, public speaker, and author on personal growth, empowerment, and advancement. Her mission is to share what she has learned as a multiple-time CEO and Entrepreneur in order to create diverse and inclusive communities of women who feel a sense of belonging and strength through their connections.In 2012, Anne founded Parlay House, a new form of inclusive community that helps thousands of women around the globe feel a sense of connection and belonging far beyond usual social circles. In 2020, her journey was captured in the Amazon Best-Selling Book, The Parlay Effect: How Female Connection Can Change the World. In 2021, she extended the conversations through the highly-acclaimed Bring a Friend Podcast series. Anne’s experience in leadership and social activism is large. She spent the first 25 years of her career building and leading advertising agencies in New York City and has been widely recognized as one of the most influential women in advertising. She was Chairman and CEO of LLNS and TBWA/ WorldHealth after her successful roles as Chief Integration Officer at BBDO and Managing Director of their highly successful healthcare unit. She also served as CEO of Consumer Healthworks, a division of Merkley and Partners as well as President of Harrison & Star. Anne served as Chairman of the Board of Marchex, a public company, and is proud to be one of the few women who served in that capacity. Anne is very active across a broad array of social justice issues. She was the Executive Director The Return, an Emmy-nominated documentary about the experience of people returning to society post-prison. She and her husband were also the lead sponsors of California’s Proposition 36, which restored fairness in sentencing to the State’s excessive Three Strikes Law. She served as board member/ leader/ mentor to a number of education and health-related organizations, including Lantern, the She-CAN Foundation, and Stanford University community’s Healthy Body Image Programs. Anne is a 2003 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
