I help clients assess and prepare for geopolitical risks facing their businesses at Dentons, the world’s largest law firm. Prior to joining the firm, I was the managing director for political risk at Edelman, and before that had my own firm for five years where I focused on global development initiatives for corporations. I served as chief of staff to Mrs. Laura Bush in her post-presidency office and worked for the Bushes in their White House, Pentagon, and State Department. I also spent a year working on President Bush’s AIDS initiative in Port-au-Prince, Haiti working with GHESKIO Centers. I’m originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, and went to Rhodes College (BA) and Harvard Kennedy School (MPA). Currently, I’m on boards advising the Center on Conflict and Development at Texas A&M University, the Baylor University Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty, Parkland Health Foundation, Harvard National Public Leadership Initiative, and have served organizations in Burma, Ghana, Haiti, Kenya, Liberia, Uganda, and at home in Dallas.
