Investigated the link between triple bottom-line objectives and outcomes of green stormwater infrastructure programs with a focus on Philadelphia's Green City Clean Waters initiative. Surveyed water utilities in Peoria, IA, Atlanta, GA, Buffalo, NY, and Lancaster, PA to understand co-benefit objectives of stormwater strategies, reporting on outcomes to an external coalition building a stormwater decision support tool (i-DST) that will advance efficient stormwater management across urban and rural communities. Further utilized this real-world utility input along with existing literature to identify realistic and trackable metrics for measuring a green infrastructure program’s social, environmental, and economic impacts.

Supported executive functions of State Director for Minnesota-North Dakota-South Dakota chapter of The Nature Conservancy, including writing and editing correspondence and memoranda and identification of best practices for strategic recruitment of trustees for the chapter board representing diverse racial and ethnic identities, backgrounds, and geographies. Event and meeting planning activities included coordinating and executing meetings of chapter board of trustees, leadership team, and executive committee as well as managing logistics, agenda-setting, and internal and external staff during annual offsite, weekend-long retreat for staff and board of trustees. Maintained up-to-date financial documents for periodic distribution to chapter leadership and board.

As a Federal Campaigns Associate for The Nature Conservancy, my experience encompassed a broader set of duties: while continuing to follow and participate in the day-to-day goings-on of the U.S. Government Relations team, I interacted daily with teams that hold expertise in state-level campaigns, project management, digital marketing and outreach, and technology systems. This interaction and collaboration greatly expanded my understanding of a sophisticated and highly-functioning international organization, as well as imparted advanced skills in each one of the categories listed.

In my capacity as Federal Campaigns Program Coordinator, I contributed to The Nature Conservancy's (TNC) campaign initiatives on a federal level, focusing on bills facing Congress such as the Farm Bill, the Land and Water Conservation Fund, the Sportsmen's Act, and the RESTORE Act. My role featured coordinating communications from TNC chapters across the U.S. to their Members of Congress and high-level administrative tasks. I also assisted in TNC's external-facing campaign approaches, including the coordination of national sign-on letters, organization of lobby day fly-ins, and attendance at coalition meetings and strategy sessions.

As a Government Relations Assistant for The Nature Conservancy (TNC), I largely monitored the Minnesota State Legislature and helped to coordinate our approach to favorably influence state and federal public figures on conservation priorities. I also organized the inaugural Day at the Capitol for TNC's Minnesota Chapter, where 12 members of the Minnesota Chapter Board of Trustees attended a grasstops lobby day with members of the MN state legislature.
