Serves as the education leader for the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County by managing the operations of a 1.3 million dollar budget, 50 full and part-time staff, and the relationships with our school partners. Oversees the Teens of Promise (TOPS) Program which is the largest component of the program. TOPS is an initiative of Boys & Girls Club in partnership with Madison School District’s AVID program (AVID/TOPS). Its goal is to have more high school students become first generation college graduates. It includes a college readiness curriculum (AVID elective class), mentoring, tutoring, career exploration, college field trips, summer job internships, college test preparation and scholarships. Oversees the College Club Program which prepares and connect members of the program (1st-8th grade students) to resources so they can fulfill a dream of attaining a quality education. This will allow them to realize their full potential as college graduates. The focus of the program is to provide College Club members with individual case management support by removing barriers getting in the way of their education.
