Annie rapidly soaked up and assimilated so much knowledge on hardware product development like a sponge, that you'd have guessed she majored in engineering or worked as an engineer in industry for years. As a PhD chemical engineer, I often found myself going to Annie to ask for clarity on certain technical details related to the hardware development project. Annie truly excelled as a program manager, not only in her ability to grasp the technical details, but also in her ability to handle some incredibly difficult people problems. A program manager in a med device startup, especially during the urgency of a pandemic, is one of the toughest positions to be in. You have the commercial side saying "Go! Go! Go!" You have the QA/RA team saying "Slow down!" You have the operations team saying, "When are you going to get to design lock so we can order parts and optimize assembly processes?" You have the engineering team in the middle saying "Give us some room to breathe!" Combine the internal strife with doing joint-development with a 3rd party contracting organization and it feels like a pressure cooker dialed to 11. Annie handled numerous people challenges gracefully and professionally. Annie was given more responsibility over time, overseeing a team of cross-functional, PMs and as Head of BizOps, overseeing the dozens of things that need to be done to keep a company running. She is a conscientious leader who cares about her team and gives her best effort to help both her team and the company succeed. When we pivoted away from COVID diagnostics, Annie took on the challenge of doing market research and interviews with potential customers to identify the best opportunities for Clip Health's technology platform. Annie hit it out of the park, coming back with multiple LOIs from major hospital networks. Annie has tremendous potential, and I'm eager to see where she ends up in her career. If I were to start another company, I would absolutely try to recruit Annie. Her adaptability, drive, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, intelligence, and creative problem solving would be a huge advantage for any company that hires her."
