I am a key member of the senior management team and report to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). I provide a focus on strategic initiatives and arts-related initiatives and support thePresident and CEO by functioning across disciplines within the DTC (Economic Development, Urban Environment, Membership & Management, Community Development, Research) and its related organizations fostering collaboration, efficiency and growth. I plan the Downtown Council's Annual Luncheon and actively engage with our social media and communications team. I play a key role in connecting arts and cultural awareness and initiatives throughout the organization and with organizational partners and act as the Executive Director of the Art in the Loop Foundation.I play a key role in the development and implementation of the Imagine Downtown KC 2030 Strategic Plan.

•Staff Downtown KC 2030 Strategic Plan process and participated in the 2019 Greater Downtown Area Plan update•Develop and produce the DTC’s issue-oriented Annual Luncheon and awards program which average nearly 900 attendees annually.•Facilitate annual DTC officer, board, awards nomination processes• Provide policy development and implementation recommendations on the following: North Loop PELNew Buck O’Neil Bridge Planning, Highway 9 Study, Auditorium Garage & Barney Allis Plaza, DTC strategic planning, KC Streetcar (Implementation planning, research and advocacy), Downtown Political Action Committee, •Collaborate and provide content, input and guidance to DTC communications efforts and website• Research areas include: Downtown economic impact information, trends and mapping; member, resident and business surveys; Innovative technology (office processes)•Proactively stay abreast of important trends and reports related to downtowns across the country. •Involved in senior-level meeting management and administration•Art in the Loop Foundation -Manage and direct administration of the Art in the Loop Foundation whose goal is to engage artists in the redevelopment of Downtown Kansas City. Responsibilities include writing and administering grants, budget development, and communications. -Implement annual Art in the Loop Project to activate the KC Streetcar route, Downtown parks and other public spaces -Partner with KCMO Office of Culture and Creative Services, Municipal Arts Commission and other City departments to implement arts-related projects. -Represent Art in the Loop and the DTC on arts-related committees and events (Arts Sector Industry Council, ArtsKC, and Paseo Gateway Creative Placemaking) -Coordinate and support partnerships with local arts organizations -Develop policy positions

• Managed membership recruitment, retention and development for 300+member organization with the leadership and support of a volunteer committee.• Developed and implemented communications plan for the organization including annual reports, newsletters, e-blasts and on-line content to communicate the mission and goals of the organization. • Developed and produced the organization’s Annual Luncheon - with 900+ attendees.

• Represented membership organization in public hearings and other settings.• Developed initial marketing materials, newsletters, annual reports and website for the organization.• Prepared annual budgets, financial reports and supporting materials for the non-profit organization with $350,000 annual budget. Managed the accounting function. • Developed new membership communication process to support a 130% increase in membership over 6 years.• Prepared successful joint grant applications for various City, State and Federal funding sources, through a collaborative organizational process – obtaining $1 million in funding.• Co-founded of the Missouri Downtown Association. Hosted and produced 3rd annual conference.

• Undertook significant research projects to support organizational issues including construction of an expanded Downtown convention center, land-use policies and implementation of a community improvement district. Represented organization in public settings regarding these issues. • Programmed and staffed operational committees and task forces of the Downtown Council utilizing my organization, facilitation and relationship-building skills to harness member resources and encourage decision-making.
