I started my legal career in 2002 as a candidate attorney at Newtons Attorneys, where I obtained experience in litigation and where I acted for one of the major banks. I also ran the bond cancellation department during my time at Newtons. In 2005 I started working at the Law Clinic of the University of Pretoria (UP Law Clinic) where I was the head of the debt relief department. I further attended to civil cases as well as labour law matters. I also worked closely with the National Credit Regulator and was involved in the training of debt counsellors. From September 2007-2009 I lived in New Zealand where I worked at Dawson and Associates which is a Maritime Law Firm. When we moved back to South Africa in 2009 I was privileged enough to once again work at the UP Law Clinic in the debt relief department. During this time I presented a number of papers, one which was presented at the Washburn Law School in Kansas, America. I obtained an LLM in 2009 in commercial law. When my daughter was born in 2011 I stepped out of practice, but started lecturing LLB students at Varsity College. In 2019 I joined Greeff Attorneys as a consultant. We specialise in property law, estate planning and commercial law.
