Appointed by the IOC President to ensure delivery of all Olympic Marketing activities for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, while retaining and motivating 40+ staff, following the sudden departure of the Managing Directors of the IOC's marketing agency. Given the crisis situation and the challenging operational context, Anne conducted an extensive risk assessment of IOC and sponsor marketing operations and put contingencies in place with the unprecedented result of near-total sponsor satisfaction. During the Athens Games, she was also end-responsible for the Marketing function in the cross-organisation incident management and crisis communication team. While in this role, Anne restructured the key account (TOP Sponsor) servicing programme from one local office to a globally-integrated operation in 5 countries, in order to deliver seamless servicing to international companies. Marketing Manager, Client Services
Recruited to the IOC as part of the organization's growth and professionalization, Anne directed the IOC’s brand alignment strategy to ensure that the Olympic ethos and values were upheld by the sponsors and the organising committees during the development and implementation of all their marketing programmes. With entrepreneurial zeal, she created an expert “brain-trust” network of hospitality companies to ensure that the Olympic corporate hospitality proposition remained the global gold standard in sports marketing. She also pioneered the first-ever, on-line sports marketing Extranet which reduced the approval time for sponsor advertisements and provided an unprecedented resource to disseminate Olympic Marketing information. During the course of her tenure at the IOC, Anne provided strategic input and training to multiple organising committees concurrently during various stages of their life-cycles while also managing the day-to-day implementation of the IOC’s marketing strategy.
Manager, World Cup 1998 Operations
