I am a social butterfly with a heart for science and all different aspects of nature and environmental sustainability. I obtained my PhD in neuroscience and biology at the KU Leuven, Belgium, where I I established a new zebrafish model to study spontaneous neuronal regeneration, using my perseverance, motivation and creative problem-solving skills.Currently, I am devoted to share my passion for science communication as project manager of the SciComm Academy of Scimingo, where we try to guide researchers in taking their first step in this field of public outreach. Aside from that, I try to engage and connect young zebrafish researchers as a founding member of the Young Researchers committee of the European zebrafish society.
