COMPANY OVERVIEWComposite Conveyor Equipment Company Pty Ltd (formerly known as Lorbrand Composites Pty Ltd) is a medium-sized manufacturing company based in South Africa which exports the majority of its products to mining companies primarily in Australasia and North America, employing approximately 47 full-time staff and employing additional contract staff when required for project work.ROLE OVERVIEWResponsible for managing and overseeing all daily business operations including production, dispatch, and finance functions. Continuously evaluate performance and productivity by implementing policies and processes and encouraging employees to work productively and develop professionally. Oversee the production schedule, and ensure that targets are met. Analyse accounting and financial data and provide strategic solutions to operational matters. Report to the Financial Director and Managing Director and manage 12 direct reports across the operations, engineering, production, dispatch and finance departments.

ROLE OVERVIEWActively involved in production planning and management, operations and customer services. Responsible for organising and planning all freight (90 % of the business are exports). Responsible for managing the production and dispatch teams. ACCOUNTING & REPORTING• Responsible for full Debtors function including sales orders, invoicing, reconciliations, age analysis, statements, debt collection and customer support. • Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet, oversight of General Ledger processing and upkeep of asset register.• Liaise with external auditors. • Calculating and submitting VAT returns.FREIGHT & DISPATCH• Coordinate with various Logistics companies to arrange shipping of orders worldwide • Manage the dispatch team to ensure all pallets are labelled and packed according to instructions.• Compile all relevant freighting documents, complete reports, including dispatch and ETA of order to all customers.Project Management: • Managing the customer open order process (project and non-project orders). • Draft and manage the production schedule, set targets, liaise with suppliers to ensure timeous delivery of components and with various production teams to ensure targets are met.

ROLE OVERVIEWManaged the end-to-end accounting and reporting for the business, including full debtors' function (local and foreign). Oversaw manufacturing financial processes and assisted with general business duties whenever required. ACCOUNTING & REPORTING• Data capturing, cash books, reconciliations (including CFC / foreign accounts) and petty cash. • Debtors including invoicing, reconciliations, age analysis, statements, debt collection and customer support.• Creditor including purchase orders, GRN's, processing, reconciliations, age analysis and statements.• Compile provisional and inventory journals, managing inventory items, and customer and supplier accounts. • Oversee stock-taking, reconciliations and processing of results, and assist in determining variances, if any, and ensure stock balance to Balance Sheet. • Upkeep asset register including depreciation, additions and disposal of assets and profit/loss when assets sold. • Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet, account management and upkeep of all intercompany loan, staff loans, prepayments, provisions accounts. • Provide weekly reports to shareholders regards cash in bank, sales, GP%, debtors, creditors, and stock balances. • Compile audit file at year-end and liaise with external auditors.• Calculate and submit VAT returns. MANUFACTURING• Determining the cost of products, assessing gross profit margins, and selling prices. • Ensure all costs are allocated accordingly.GENERAL DUTIES• ISO: Coordinated with consultants in the implementation of ISO 9001(2015). • Implement and oversee production schedule for freight purposes and summary of all open orders.• Draft and implement freight procedure, and prepare associated documents, including commercial invoice, packing lists and instructions. • Liaise with logistics companies to book shipments, get quotes, and status updates on shipments to ensure customers can track their orders once processed.
