I am the founding shareholder of Anne Turner, PC, in Madison, Mississippi. I have developed a novel, technology-driven, legal services delivery platform specifically for startup companies that will go live July 1, 2021. My firm also provides traditional legal representation, focusing on the representation of technology-oriented enterprises selling proprietary products or services. I was formerly a shareholder in an AmLaw 200 law firm. I specialize in assisting startup and emerging companies with getting from ideation to exit. I have provided outside general counsel services to small and mid-sized companies and advised clients of all types on the development, licensing, commercialization, and acquisition of technology assets. Areas of recent technology representation include geophysical seismic data acquisition projects, remote monitoring and communications software for oilfield applications, sensors and instrumentation (subsea, land, and aviation applications), agricultural biotechnology (naturally-derived and chemical substances and seed technology), and novel energy technologies. I have represented U.S. clients with active worldwide operations and foreign clients with U.S. interests. I have advised on strategic partnerships and joint ventures, the establishment of foreign offices, distribution and agency/representative networks, and trade and anti-corruption compliance. I have counseled clients on a wide variety of acquisition and financing transactions, including those involving private equity and debt instruments, licensing arrangements, secured debt, and asset sales and purchases.In addition to business and corporate law, I assist clients with the development, protection, and monetization of intellectual property assets involving patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret subject matter. In 2021, I developed and released to the App Store and Play Store a habit tracking and goal setting application called 6 Brix to help people end procrastination, achieve goals and establish new habits.
