Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Banking (formerly Kempen & Co Merchant Bank) is a Dutch merchant bank, providing financial services in asset management, securities broking and corporate finance. Our clients include institutional investors, (semi) public companies, financial institutions, foundations and high net-worth individuals.In this role I provided dedicated administrative & business support to the head of Kempen & Co's Securities division and support other members of the division's management team when required. Responsibilities included managing the MD's schedule and travel arrangements, expenses management, minute-taking and assisting in the recruitment process & on-boarding of new joiners.Contributions:* Coordination of the product approval and review process ("PARP") for the introduction of new structured investment products and the subsequent review of existing products. Member of the working group that ensures policies and procedures are updated to comply with the requirements of EU MiFID II legislation.* Editing, proofreading and translating the division's English website content, press releases and Linkedin articles.* Management of 1 FTE responsible for consolidating broker interactions for the division's buy-side clients to ensure EU MiFID II compliance.* Planning & coordination of the merchant bank's yearly Christmas dinner (for 100-120 FTE) as part of an event team.

I also contributed to the Investor Relations activities of the firm's LSE-listed investment trust (Pantheon International PLC).Contributions:* Investor Relations Support: updated existing and developed new presentation slides, drafted responses to DDQs, coordinated Annual General Meetings and investor seminars, planned and coordinated UK & Benelux road shows including logistical arrangements, analysed the trust's largest withdrawals and distributions for inclusion in interim/annual reports and monthly newsletters.* Proofread financial reports and other publications.* Coordinated the yearly renewal of the firm's corporate and fund liability insurance programs and was first point of contact for insurance queries.* Managed 1 FTE (team assistant).* Member of the firm's Social and Charity Committees: planned & organised social events such as holiday parties and sports activities, coordinated fundraising activities and communication regarding the firm's charitable activities.
