Key Duties and Responsibilities:• Document production support for the Perth office of DLA Piper, including personal injury and medical negligence insurance, commercial litigation, employment law, real estate, and finance and projects.• The Document Production team also undertook work for the firm’s Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane offices and for their offices in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.• Digital dictation – correspondence, court documents, interview transcripts, deeds/agreements.• Amending documents from digital dictation or handwritten amendments, using track changes and comments.• Working with styles, multi-level numbering, tables of contents, cross-referencing, columns, large tables, comparing documents and mail merge.• Creating and amending Excel spreadsheets.• Creating and amending PowerPoint presentations.• Creating and amending Visio charts and diagrams.• Copy typing handwritten notes.• Working with PDFs – splitting or combining PDFs, redaction, compressing PDFs, making PDFs searchable, and converting PDFs to Word and reformatting.Achievements:• 95% of document production deadlines met.• 98% document accuracy rate.• On two separate occasions I contributed significantly to updating 1,000 plus precedent documents, achieving project completion 20% faster than original projections.• Contributed a greater volume than any of my colleagues to a transcription project involving hundreds of recorded interviews from Australia and the UK.• Regularly provided assistance and support to colleagues around MS Office technical issues.• Trusted implicitly with highly confidential and sensitive projects.• Considered the ‘go to’ person for solving difficult formatting issues.• Successfully and speedily transitioned through several software and system upgrades ultimately forming part of an integrated Australian and UK team.• Able to regularly prioritise competing delivery requirements from law firm partners.
