I was involved with all aspects of the lab and played an integral part, in setting up new equipment and work processes. I rotated around the laboratory which gave me the opportunity to perform every task within the building and outside in the fields. My main projects were DNA Fingerprinting and I am very familiar with the software GelCompar 2. I was seasonal help in Tissue Culture laboratory, where double haploids were produced. I helped to identify cultivars from seeds with fingerinting methods to assure the right working materials on plant breeding programs.I was responsible of hazardous laboratory waste. I followed procedures to a correct storage, listing, marking and disposal.I purchased all laboratory supplies, equipment and reagents and kept stock in good order. I had regular meetings with the suppliers for good offers and best qualities of materials. I attended on meetings and helped to build up the budged for laboratories.I performed maintenance and calibrations on the laboratory equipments.

I performed many tasks in research and developing laboratory including PCR, hybridisations and ELISA assays. I tested and worked with DNA synthesiser, build up the system and labelled nucleotides. I developed multiplex PCR protocols. I worked also in organic laboratory doing synthesis. I used HPLC and was introduced to LC-MS.
